La Gioconda is a 1994 Gozzard G36, a 36′ sailing vessel made by Gozzard Yachts, Goderich, Ont. Canada. We are the 3rd owner of this beauty. Her name was “Bonaventure” when we brought her back from Michigan to Ontario Canada. When Gino learned from Mr. Mike Gozzard, the current owner of Gozzard Yachts that her original name was “La Gioconda” , he felt it was fate brought her to us. In Italian, “La Gioconda” means “the joyful lady”, the name of Leonardo Da Vince’s famous painting “Mona Lisa”.
